Beg, borrow, or buy a book you might enjoy, and note unfamilar words. ‘The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint Exupéry and ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho are suitable for everyone.
Once you’ve finished a few pages, use a dictionary to look up the word. Or you can download one of the many vocabulary apps for your ‘phone.
