Hit the books means to study hard, often for exams, and sometimes all night!
Face the music means to experience the consequences of your actions. So if you’ve done something wrong, you might have to face the music from your teacher, mother, or manager!
If you like pop music (perhaps Coldplay or BTS?) then Beethoven or John Legend probably isn’t your cup of tea.
When you are told to keep something secret, then you might be asked to keep mum.
